Lucas Boeck

Lucas Boeck studied Medicine in Innsbruck, Philadelphia, Freiburg and Oslo and did his clinical training to become a specialist in Internal and Pulmonary Medicine in Basel (Switzerland). After several years of clinical research, he worked in the team of Andres Floto (University of Cambridge, UK) to study Mycobacterium abscessus. Lucas Boeck is now a consultant at the University Hospital and Junior Group Leader at the Department of Biomedicine in Basel. His scientific work is centred around mycobacterial behaviours and molecular mechanisms underlying antibiotic treatment failures.
