Shelley Haydel

Shelley E. Haydel, Ph.D. is a Professor of Microbiology in the School of Life Sciences and Biodesign Institute Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensors at Arizona State University. Haydel is also currently the Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs in the School of Life Sciences, overseeing nine undergraduate degree programs and academic affairs. Her research areas include molecular mechanisms of mycobacterial pathogenesis, antimicrobial discovery, rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing, rapid diagnostics, and integrative therapeutics.
