My research focuses on better understanding the interactions between mycobacteria and the respiratory epithelium by applying the human lung organoid technology; our main goal is to decipher the very early events of the infection and the bacterial adaptation mechanisms to the airways, thus offering new avenues for fundamental and therapeutic research.
