Natalie Lorent

Natalie Lorent trained as a Pulmonologist with additional certification in Clinical Infectiology. She currently works at the University Hospitals (UZ)/KU Leuven. Her clinical expertise encompasses a wide spectrum of respiratory health, including the management of bronchiectasis, primary ciliary dyskinesia, cystic fibrosis and respiratory infections in diverse geographic settings. Her true passion lies in the realm of mycobacterial diseases, in particular tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung infections. She founded and chairs the Belgian clinical advisory board on NTM infections. She is also chair of the European research network NTMnet.
